Crew an eat place is so named for the talented crew of chefs and staff who came from the East and opened this bistro in one of the most beautiful shopping centers in Arizona. It possesses a very big city look, but the view is of the Sonoran desert and the boulders of Carefree. There is an exhibition kitchen where you can see the wood burning oven and rotisserie working overtime. From starters such as lump crab cakes with heirloom beans and roasted pepper-cumin purée and wood-fired Manila clams in garlicky white wine sauce to an array of sandwiches (the Crew burger), you will love the fun menu. Big Plates include hibiscus-smoked rainbow trout over toasted walnut orzo and bourbon-apple jus and pork loin chop with blue cheese basmati and brandy-apricot chutney. Wood fired pizzas are another choice.
