THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Dakota's, The Great Steakhouse Restaurant Review:

Without a named chef, interesting décor, or live entertainment, this steakhouse has a hard time competing with other similar venues in the area. It has moved from its original location into the bustling Simi Town Center mall, but the crowds aren't exactly fighting to get in. Having said that, the steaks are of good quality and usually cooked to the right temperature, but the preparations aren't overly creative. They will blacken your meat or marinate it, but the unadorned versions are the best. The sides are also standard and fine if not thrilling. The sweet-potato fries are the most enjoyable while the mac ‘n’ cheese is good but not fantastic especially considering its high price. The vegetables are okay, but nothing you couldn't make at home. Lunch prices are a bargain compared to dinner prices where most steaks cost around $30 with the Kansas City strip ringing up at $45 and the Kobe New York clocking in at a whopping $69. Only a couple of steaks are offered at lunch, but the tri-tip sandwiches are very tasty and garlicky. They'll fill you up without making you feel ripped off.
