Daughters Cafe Restaurant Review:
Set inside an old Victorian home, Daughters Café is a locals' best-kept secret, especially for Sunday mornings. Guests sit in antique chairs and the smell of tea and café au lait wafts through each nicely appointed room. A small menu always reflects the season (think rosemary sausage, sweet potato gratin). Don't be deterred by limited options, as you really can't go wrong with the daily special. One staple regardless of the time of year is the Dutch baby brunch featuring the buttery, rich German-style pancake topped lightly with powdered sugar and served with bacon and fruit. The owners' (who are sisters) trips to France inspired their own homemade marzipan. We recommend sharing dishes and getting a side of beignets and so does Daughters --- there is an upcharge to share single dishes.
