The Central Business District is rife with high-end power lunch venues and fast food franchises, but there's only one bargain-basement purveyor of hot, French-leaning breakfasts and plate lunches. The latter come with either golden roasted potatoes or a Caesar salad, and a slice or two of baguette. Chicken curry, roasted turkey breast, garlicky pork loin and roasted chicken with pan juices rotate in and out of the daily roster, along with some Louisiana dishes, like gumbo. Skip the city's favorite lunch beverage, iced tea, for fresh-squeezed lemonade. The petit (literally) café doesn't look like Paris, but it evokes Paris with Robert Doisneau posters and dented bistro trays. Mirrors brushed with black sketchings of an urban park---the Tuileries perhaps---cover an entire wall.
