Del Frisco’s Grille is located in the multi-use West Ave center. It bustles with a see-and-be-seen crowd, and is a good spot for power lunches of flatbreads, big sandwiches and cocktails. There’s a cheeseburger worthy of the Del Frisco’s brand, and the salads, like the chopped chicken Caesar, are filling as well. Dinners at this more casual cousin of Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House might start with truffle and chive deviled eggs or the inventive and tasty cheesesteak egg rolls. Steaks are usually precisely cooked and a wise choice, but the veal meatloaf with bordelaise sauce is also a winner. There’s a nice wine list, too, and desserts such as six-layer lemon cake with buttercream icing; it’s big enough to share with your tablemates. Weekend brunch is all about carafes of screwdrivers made with Texas’ Tito’s vodka and classic dishes --- think crab cake Benedicts and red velvet waffles.
