Wall sconces and a skylight illuminate the warm and subtly appointed dining room at this neighborhood Italian favorite. The restaurant does not boast the latest food trends or a menu that changes daily, but what it does offer --- namely well-prepared traditional cuisine --- keeps locals coming back time and again. Broccoli rabe, sausage and Tuscan beans, and eggplant rollatini make choice starters. Pastas include al dente preparations such as a fettuccine Marco Polo with shrimp, sun-dried tomatoes and asparagus, and homemade pappardelle in a hearty beef and veal bolognese sauce. A wine list proposing Italian regional selections pairs well with the fare.
