Desi Road Restaurant Review:
Desi Road, which replaced the emblematic Yugaraj, offers Indian cuisine with a twist. In an uncluttered setting in white shades that avoids the usual pomposity of Indian restaurants, customers enjoy subtle flavors. Having honed his chops at the Cinnamon Club in London, Manoj Sharma prepares traditional and contemporary recipes. One of his signature dishes is the perfectly seasoned salmon, marinated with cream and dill weed and served with mango and green peas chutney. Thali (several courses in small portions on a metal-made tray) is a good bet. It features lamb curry, dhal, beets in yogurt sauce, garbanzo beans, potato cake, naan and saffron-perfumed rice pudding. A few beers and wines are suggested to go with this invigorating meal.
