![]() : Heat is the name of the game at this off-the-beaten-path barbecue joint located in a converted auto shop. Be careful when asked if you’d like to “meet the man.” That is code for the wickedly hot sauce for which this place is famous. Loyal customers line up cafeteria-style for chopped pork (the house favorite), brisket sandwiches, ribs with meat falling off the bone, red beans and rice, cornbread and potato salad. Save room for the homemade lemon cake. Seating is at picnic tables around the former repair bays, and dining is down-home casual on paper plates with plastic utensils. |
