Chowder is the main reason why people keep coming back to this very casual Sag Harbor eatery perched, as the name suggests, on the dock. Whether you lean more toward New England or Manhattan-style chowder, this place has it. Not up for the house chowder? Indulge in oysters on the half-shell or grilled or fried seafood platters with a variety of choices, from scallops to swordfish and soft-shell crab. And what would a Hamptons seafood shack be without a lobster roll? The one at The Dock House is bursting with real lobster meat. The Dock House also offers a lobster BLT and lobster served with corn. There are a few “not from the sea” options, including grilled portobello, but seafood is the real star.
