Don Pedro Carnitas, Chicago, IL

Don Pedro Carnitas Restaurant Review

: Be prepared to wait in line to order at Don Pedro Carnitas, a locals' favorite in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. Individual tacos are available, but most patrons order the pork by the pound. Served family-style with tortillas, chicharrones (fried pork rinds), bottles of red and green salsas and heaping bowls of pico de gallo and pickled peppers, they're a fiery, design-it-yourself meal. Also on the menu are cactus salad, menudo and, for the adventurous eaters, fried brain tacos. Cash only.
