THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Duce Restaurant Review:
THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Between running his landmark Lonesome Dove Western Bistro in Fort Worth’s Stockyards district and opening a New York branch of that concept, starring in food shows on TV and selling a line of signature cookware, owner-chef Tim Love has changed his "modern European food lounge” on the fashionable west side of Cowtown to a more beef-friendly concept he calls "a modern steakhouse." Stars of the revamped show are beef tenderloin, N.Y. strip, hanger steak and veal chops, with smaller dishes including gnudi with sage brown butter and hot and cold oysters. Wine tastings are the Wednesday-evening special, and snazzy specialty cocktails warrant a menu of their own. Lunchtime excitement includes a three-course menu for $20.07. Service can be spotty, but the sleek, friendly setting is inviting, particularly on the patio, which has a fireplace.
