Chef Evan Leichtling, a Seattle native, presides over this informal bistro. In a congenial atmosphere, take a seat at the bar or at one of the wooden tables to enjoy astutely laid out dishes. The lunch menu at €25 is a sure bet. Suggested on a simple sheet of paper that implies the offerings change regularly are marinated anchovies; green asparagus soup with goat cheese and hazelnut slivers; and grilled flank steak with polenta, asparagus and bacon strips. Desserts, such as the profiteroles, are straightforward yet savory as well. For dinner, a more elaborate cuisine is served for foodies in the know. Approximately 80 organic selections compose the wine list, including a pleasant Cabernet France Les Débonnaires 2014.
