About the restaurant & décor: DW Bistro at The Gramercy offers Caribbean and New Mexican cuisine. Gracing the dining room is a stunning gold grand piano, which belonged to Lady Gaga. The space has a cheery and open feel thanks to a bright orange and white motif, floor-to-ceiling windows, an industrial white ceiling and semi-open kitchen.

Likes: Great deals can be found on the happy hour menu, available at the bar and patio Tuesday through Friday from 3 p.m.-8 p.m., with $3 drafts, $5 well drinks and $8 wines, cocktails and bites, which include chicken flautas, lamb meatballs, jerk chicken wings, Hatch chile mac and cheese and jerk pork tacos.
Dislikes: Parking at The Gramercy is limited near the restaurant, but there is ample parking in a lot about 50 yards from the restaurant’s entrance.

Food & Drinks: On the lunch and dinner menus, we like the pesto torte with goat cheese, pesto, macadamia nuts and chile oil served with crostini crackers. For lunch, we recommend the DW Spanish chorizo and shrimp with tomato, roasted garlic and a savory lemon beurre blanc; and Jamaican chicken curry bowl with seasonal vegetables and coconut cream, paired with rice or couscous. Dinner entrées include a New Mexican green chile cheeseburger with jalapeño bacon, house-made jerk filet with sweet potato purée, fried chicken with jerk seasoning and orange blossom honey, and house-made agnolotti with braised short rib, tomato and cream. Save room for the best-selling DW carrot cake with pineapple, macadamia nut, coconut crème frosting and mango purée. Complementing the fare are about 50 wines mainly from California, Oregon and France; unique craft beers such as Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail Imperial IPA; and cocktails like the Jamaican Mule with Grey Goose melon vodka, Jamaican ginger beer, sparkling wine and fresh apricot muddled with mint and ginger syrup.
