THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Eclipse Cafe Restaurant Review:

From his nova-bright open kitchen, chef-owner Luis Halfant guides the daily course of Eclipse, a stylishly spare (and acoustically active) café that its upscale northside neighborhood has embraced with the ardor of horoscope hangers-on. Smoked salmon flatbreads and burgers called “little planets” make for first-rate appetizers, and salads, called “orb bits,” include arugula with apple, prosciutto and mozzarella. Among the ascendant main plates are “simply grilled market fish” with ginger-lime aïoli and coriander-rubbed baby lamb chops with orange-honey sauce. Wood-fired pizza is available both noon and night, as are char-grilled, build-your-own burgers. Extra bits? Garlicky spinach, mac ‘n’ cheese and Parmesan risotto. “Out of this world” desserts include apple strudel with ice cream and vanilla sauce and lemon pound cake with blueberries---perfect fodder for a night of stargazing under a moon harvest or blue.
