This two-decade-old Italian restaurant by the harbor features an elegant dining room with hardwood floors, white tablecloths and fresh floral arrangements. The traditional menu features such well-executed standards as a hot antipasto composed of typical starter favorites like baked clams, fried calamari and mussels marinara, as well as eggplant rollatini, shrimp oreganata and grilled portobello mushrooms and zucchini. Pastas are cooked al dente and include a creamy penne a la vodka sautéed with smoked pancetta, and house-made short rib raviolis in a concentrated shiitake Marsala sauce. A scallopine of veal piccata and a roasted salmon are highlights among the entrées. Assorted crispy pizzettes are also available. A wine list featuring varietals from California and Italy, along with other new-world and old-world selections, enhances the menu. Chocolate tartufo, an ice cream-filled ball, is an irresistible dessert.
