THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Elephant Restaurant Review:

The Elephant is best characterized as a Thai-French bistro with a hip Southeast Asian-meets-East Village vibe. The small space is decorated like a tropical bachelor pad with beaded curtains, red tables, dark wood and mood lighting. Chef Eric Lagrange traveled in Thailand and developed appealing dishes combining Asian ingredients and French sensibility, all with a very reasonable price tag. You can get pork dumplings steamed with chives, scallions and a vinegar-sweet soy sauce or a spicy beef salad with mint, cilantro, mango and jasmine rice. Wash it all down with plenty of Bangkok-brewed 33 Beer.
