THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Faces Georgetown Restaurant Review:
Fitting in nicely among an eclectic assortment of restaurants, this Mediterranean-influenced eatery replaces an earlier French restaurant and stars head chef David Barigault, whose menu encompasses mini-meal tapas, entrée-sized salads, and such main course superstars as King Buck crab cakes, sea scallops served on sliced saffron potatoes, and roasted duck breast with wild rice and raspberry sauce. Lunches are slightly less ambitious, with a curtailed menu of gazpacho or pâté to start and such dishes as lamb chops, steak and French fries, or a chicken Caesar salad as the main fare. We asked for the houses special onion soup from the dinner menu and delighted in its sweetness and abundance of onions, and followed this with the luncheons grilled chicken served with a fine ratatouille of carefully diced vegetables---a perfectly simple dish to bolster you for the afternoon fray. Check the menu and the blackboard for dessert selections, which may include several flavors of crème brûlée or a white hazelnut dome.
