Crowds pack into Fanny’s every night of the week for the homey atmosphere and down-home Slovenian and American fare served up in whopping portions. Lunches include hearty sandwiches and entrées, which come with soup or a simple salad, warm rolls, veggies and a choice of potatoes or cheese pierogi. Best bets include anything Slovenian---goulash over spätzle, tender pork and kraut, hearty Slovenian beef stew. If strictly American fare is what you crave, there’s always liver and onions and oven-roasted chicken. Desserts---apple-crumb pie, cream pies, fruit cobbler---all are homemade and are usually gone by early evening.
