THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Faustina Restaurant Review:

THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES TO THE RESTAURANT. Scott Conant's restaurant in The Cooper Square Hotel is miles ahead of what it replaced, Table 8. With a slight refresh of the interior---dark wood and muted tones in the dining room and a usable bar area---the space is, for all intents and purposes, Scarpetta East (Scarpetta is Conant’s restaurant in the Meatpacking District). The concept is deceptively simple: masculine food in feminine portions, which is to say, small plates. They run the gamut. The kitchen turns out old standards like stromboli and fried chicken (yes, Italian fried chicken, which tastes an awful lot like American fried chicken) alongside Conant's reinvented classics. Do not miss the tajarin, egg noodles with sea urchin. In a nod to the fashion set that frequents the hotel, there's plenty of crudo for the carb-phobic. If you like to take your calories in liquid form, the Italian wine list is exhaustive. The caveats here are few: one is that at three to five small plates per person, the bill can add up in the blink of an eye. The other is that the execution of the desserts doesn't quite reach the same level as the pastas and proteins. Overall, however, Conant has another hit on his hands.
