Have kids, will pizza. That could be Fireside’s motto. Families fill the place, but they don’t find the usual doughy, everything-is-salty chain pizza mess. Instead, Fireside offers a four-cheese blend and toppings that range from grilled chicken and goat cheese to fire-roasted onions and kalamata olives. The Gorgonzola and Bosc pear pizza alone is worth the trip---topped with spicy arugula, the pie eliminates the need for a side salad. Also try the Thai red curry chicken pizza, a sweet curry topped with fresh lime slices that can be adjusted to your spice preference. Fireside also serves finger foods, salads and pastas. In slow season, the restaurant often closes before 8 p.m., so arrive early or call ahead.
