THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Fish Bar Restaurant Review:
Docked at Pier 81 on Manhattan’s Hudson River, Fish Bar is a three-story floating restaurant, formerly World Yacht. It’s a special occasion venue with an elegant dining room and chic outdoor space. A bar menu is offered on the bottom lounge deck and the top outdoor deck, while intimate eating is reserved for the enclosed second-floor dining room. Two evening sailings, at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., and a weekend sailing at 12:30 p.m., create a floating gastronomic experience where the dinner focus is on seafood. Try the fresh-shucked oysters, scallop mango ceviche, tuna crudo and filet of branzino as you pass by the Statue of Liberty. Desserts include passion fruit cheesecake and walnut cake. A wine list spanning Europe, the U.S., South America and South Africa also offers 11 choices by the glass. For brunch, you can expect the usuals, from french toast and steak and eggs to smoked salmon platters and a lobster BLT with spicy mayo. The restaurant and bar open prior to sailing.
