Fix Restaurant Review

: Having established himself at Bellagio with Light, Caramel and Mist nightclubs, gifted entrepreneur Andrew Sasson took over the space that was Nectar and opened a club of his own: Fix. As hip as the clubs he previously ran, Fix has an urban-modern design with a wave-like ceiling and multi-level banquettes creating an intimate yet expansive setting. Specialty cocktails like espresso and cucumber martinis and pineapple mojitos are served at the massive bar and in the lounge area. The menu is designed to showcase classic American fare. Roasted tomato soup is accompanied by a grilled bacon and goat cheese sandwich. Yellowtail sashimi is prepared with jalapeño, cilantro and garlic ponzu. The shared-for-the-table “Ultimate Shell” consists of Maine lobster, tiger prawns, king crab, and East and West coast oysters, while trenchermen like the grilled 14-ounce organic grass-fed New York sirloin and the 20-ounce dry-aged bone-in rib-eye. Saké and the extensive wine list nicely complement the fare. The Americana theme continues through the dessert course, so save room for a traditional root beer float with warm chocolate cookies.
