Not exactly on Main Street, this little soul-food eatery takes some effort to find from way out in the ’burbs, but once there, you probably will thrill to its home-style cooking. We recommend the hickory-smoked BBQ ribs with sides of greens and mashed potatoes, but if experimenting with other dishes becomes mandatory, the second choice would be the battered and fried fish, either white or sea trout, with the same sides. We might consider the smoked pork shoulder heaped in a tall stack, but at that rate, why not just settle for the ribs and end the meal with a serving of fresh apple cobbler? There are probably enough calories on the menu to feed an army, but why not enjoy a genuine feast?
