Ford's Fish Shack Restaurant Review:
Leesburg’s outpost of Ford's Fish Shack has the look and feel of a nautical destination, minus the ocean waves. You will enjoy the lobster trap buoys that line the ceiling, the lobster pot on the wall, the slate blue wood beams and the oyster bar. To start, the kitchen has created a “fishy” type of nacho platter, using freshly made potato chips, bits of lobster (“lobstah”) and melted blue cheese with marinated tomatoes --- this platter and maybe a few deviled eggs just about complete a meal. But don’t stop there, as steamed lobster, Alaskan snow crab legs, overstuffed “lobstah” rolls and fish and chips (for which the restaurant is famous) comprise only a part of the offerings. At lunch and brunch, the kitchen turns out a special crab cake Benedict. For dessert, choose from the blueberry pie and the topnotch mixed berry shortcake with a strawberry coulis. Kids have their own menu, and adults can consider the wine, beer and cocktails on tap.
