![]() : Owner Amy Morton has a hit on their hands with this funky, welcoming spot. Settle into a vintage sofa or at a candlelit, hodgepodge table amid walls hung with sepia photos. The seasonally minded, Midwest-inspired small plates are thoughtfully prepared, whether it’s vibrant kale-Swiss chard salad dotted with cranberries or lamb meatballs, blanketed with herbaceous pistachio chimichurri on a bed of tangy yogurt. But the real surprise comes when the ethereal, creamy polenta arrives. Its almond, mushroom, blue cheese and poached egg components, when melded, turn something humble into a luxurious affair. Save room for dessert, because the orange pound cake with lemon curd and toasted coconut gelato is a goodie. A first-rate cocktail program and carefully sourced wines are reasons to linger. |
