Fronting the Ashwaubenon Boardwalk on the picturesque Fox River, Fratellos Waterfront Restaurant is a fine spot to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the boats pull into the dock and seagulls swoop down from the sky. The setting is striking and so is the multi-tiered interior space with its oversize windows, exhibition kitchen and wood-burning pizza oven. Always lively, with the fragrant aromas filling the air and the low buzz of conversation, the vibe, too, is festive. Fortunately, the food is just as good as the scene. Check out the unique decorative touches on display---a 1957 wooden Carver boat and a 1961 train caboose from the National Railroad Museum---while dining on some of the restaurant’s signature dishes, like mussels Fratello, ravioli Florentine and a seafood-stuffed portobello mushroom. For more casual fare, try the pizza, burgers, sandwiches and salads. After eating, be sure to take a walk on the boardwalk, which connects the riverfront to the beautiful Ashwaubenon Bay Park.
