Gaffey St. Diner Restaurant Review:
The morning crowd pours into this pastel-colored diner located at the end of the 110 Freeway to indulge in enormous portions of American breakfast standards. Yet, quality is not sacrificed for quantity. For example, the softball-size biscuits that anchor the hearty biscuits and gravy side dish are consistently light and fluffy. Expected mainstays like pancakes, omelets, and corned beef hash with eggs are available, along with special creations such as the massive, Spanish-style egg, potato and sausage plate dubbed the "John Wayne." If you arrive after the breakfast rush, partake of classic diner lunch items like burgers, sandwiches, salads and soups.
