While this Cambridge restaurant might be the last place you’d expect to find brimming with fresh herbs, abound they do. With chef Brandon Arms in the kitchen, the menu highlights local ingredients and is redolent with aromatics like thyme, marjoram and tarragon, adding nuance to such nibbles as grilled sweet corn with chipotle aïoli, cotija and lime; slow-cooked pork belly with fermented black beans and pineapple; and spicy lamb gnocchi with golden raisins, crispy chestnuts and pecorino. Evocative spices also enhance an intriguingly dressed citrus-touched salad made with local greens. The same goes for entrées, but we often make a meal of sides alone --- or, for that matter, a dessert; puréed parsnips are pudding-sweet. Downstairs, there's a cavernous bar.
