THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Goldfish Seafood & Chops Restaurant Review:
Goldfish Seafood & Chops in gentrified Yaletown attracts fish fanatics and carnivores alike. With its buzzing atmosphere and fine service, this large eatery is particularly good for group dinners. Count on fresh and carefully selected ingredients. The seafood tower (available in one, two or three tiers) presents local oysters, lobster, crab legs, mussels, vodka cured salmon pastrami and more delicacies of the deep. For mains, guests can choose "simply prepared" seafood served with roasted fingerling potatoes, or more elaborate preparations. Ocean Wise symbols on the menu note which dishes are recommended by the Vancouver Aquarium as "ocean-friendly" seafood choices. There's also no shortage of meat options, such as steaks, short ribs and roasted chicken. Desserts might include a yuzu lemon tart with roasted marshmallow and blueberry compote or banana spring rolls with pineapple-lychee salad and makrut lime syrup. The wine list features many selections from British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, and there's also saké, local draft beers and specialty cocktails.
