This establishment in Bruce Moffett’s local restaurant group, which includes popular Barrington’s and Stagioni, keeps foodies flocking to its doors for the high-end fare and a chic, contemporary feel. The small plates style means you can sample from many options --- most with a global influence. Starters include chilled venison carpaccio, served with marinated mushrooms, shallots, Parmesan and a red wine reduction, and a flavorful hot-and-sour soup. Rich pork belly and kimchi with udon noodles highlights the pasta options, while pork carnitas and fresh Prince Edward Island mussels with green curry, coconut milk and cilantro add an international aspect to the “pasture” and “sea” menus. Seasonal desserts delight: Carrot Cake Twinkie with spiced pecans and cream cheese ice cream. The wine list, though not extensive, offers appealing, predominately old-world selections.
