THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Grille on Broadway Restaurant Review:
It’s one of the smallest restaurants with one of the most compact kitchens in town. But size lies at Grille on Broadway where executive chef Lorenza Poco Llamas plates up dishes reflective of her Chihuahua, Mexico heritage. The barbecue oyster appetizer, a signature dish, comes eight to an order, the pasteurized oysters dredged through Cajun-spiced flour and sautéed just long enough to firm the edges. On the entrée side, the sea bass is coated in potato flakes, its crispy crust cloaking a silken center. Grilled twin filet medallions Broadway-style come alongside the wild mushroom mashed potatoes and garlic-studded greens. Finish off your meal with whipped cheesecake with dried fruit du jour. It’s all served up in the A-frame space that’s festooned with twinkly Christmas lights. The wine list, as quirky as the place itself, boasts a Tasmanian Pinot Noir and a Ken Forrester South African Grenache-Syrah blend.
