THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hacienda Margarita Restaurant Review

: THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED This charming eatery is a lively, yet relaxing, respite from the bustling conference-central resort. Its Cantina Bar is, too. Sombreros and serapes adorn the walls; pink lighting and the soothing sounds of guitars enhance the mood. The chunky tomato salsa with colorful chips is addictive, as are the fruit and other margaritas. Creative soup preparations and salads such as Hacienda Caesar with grilled marinated chicken and cotija cheese croutons are turned out in the busy kitchen, along with other traditional fare. We like the corn tortillas rolled with Atlantic lobster, roasted corn and queso fresco cheese with mango mole sauce, and the tortilla-crusted Gulf shrimp with cilantro, garlic and chipotle cream. Among favorites, the slow-cooked pork infused with garlic, orange and honey, garnished with guacamole, tomatillo salsa and stone ground corn tortillas, is served with refried beans and Spanish rice. The creamy, light flan with caramel sauce and strawberries, and the bananas Foster in a super-size sugar-cinnamon tortilla shell with caramel sauce and candied pecans are sublime. Cap your dinner with a specialty coffee laced with a choice of liqueurs.
