THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hampton's Restaurant Review:
Such tranquility is rare in a modern restaurant. Credit that to the luxe décor---rich fabrics, upholstered chairs, antique sideboards, sprays of flowers, portraits of the baronial ancestors you would like to have had---and the outstanding service. In this hushed environment, tuxedoed waiters move about gracefully, creating a stir only when lifting the silver domes in unison at each table to expose fragrant, artfully arranged entrées. For you it might be the filet of John Dory, with spaghetti squash and smoked garlic beurre blanc. Or how about a New Zealand venison rack, carved tableside, or the free-range bison, wrapped in house-cured pancetta and served with truffled macaroni and cheese. Start with the heavenly lobster bisque. From the foie gras to the topnotch wine list, Hampton’s flawlessly conjoins old-world values with contemporary American style. With the exception of black-T-shirted movie stars who elevator down from their rooms while in town shooting the latest epic, the crowd is dressed to impress.
