With just a nod to mainstream fare such as chicken quesadillas and buffalo wings, since 1938, the Hofberg menu has focused on New York-style delicatessen food. We love coming here for that ultimate New York meal: crunchy kosher dill pickles and a huge Rueben sandwich slathered with mustard. And there’s plenty more that smacks of Manhattan, from smoked whitefish and triple-deckers with hot corned beef and pastrami to braised brisket of beef, stuffed cabbage and the New York-style breakfasts of lox, eggs and onions, plus much more. New York-style cheesecake is available in all its glory---creamy, smooth wedges of various flavors, like Oreo, strawberry and cherry. And don’t miss the rich and crumbly rugalach.
