THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hong Kong Flower Lounge Restaurant Review:
The El Camino Real branch of this chain is a huge temple to Hong Kong cuisine, from its tiled roof with traditional upturned corners to the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bi level restaurant plays frequent host to large banquets and family parties of all sizes. Well-seasoned Cantonese dinner specialties include minced squab in lettuce cups, shark’s-fin soup and many seasonal seafood dishes. The daily dim sum menu features baked or steamed bao (barbecued-pork buns), braised bean curd, and shrimp dumplings. Have a warm, mildly sweet egg-custard tart for dessert. The food is reliable, but service can be impersonal and rushed; large tables get more attention than duos.
