THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Hudson Valley Flying Pig Restaurant Review

: Designed to showcase local farmers and artisans, Flying Pig offers a dining experience unique to its mission. From the outside, the café is unassuming, and this relaxed atmosphere continues throughout, with country kitchen style paintings and pictures of pigs on the walls. Jazzy music or lively piano serves as a backdrop to happy hour conversations. The bar offers a selection of international wines and the house specialty---an organic strawberry-infused vodka. Dinner starters include spaghetti squash in a tomato sauce and roasted Prince Edward Island mussels in a savory broth prepared in a skillet. Mains run to farm-raised trout or lamb stew for dinner, and a thick, pub-style burger accompanied by steak fries. Another star from the grill is the pork chop with rainbow chard and black-eyed peas. For dessert, stick to the fresh berries with cream, or have another drink at the bar.
