THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED The basement room gives the impression of Chinatown rather than anything from the land of the rising sun. Authentic this is not, but done competently and sometimes first-rate. Sushi and sashimi are much better than in many other places charging higher prices. Steer clear of tempura, the batter rather greasy, but revel in subtly flavoured ramens which hit the spot. At lunchtime the place buzzes with office workers going for the topnotch set lunches, £4.90-£9.60. Dinner is more elaborate and with a wider choice on the à la carte menu. The saké list is wide enough.
