THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES 'Imiloa Cafe Restaurant Review:

From the Orion’s tofu salad with black goma to the somen salad with cantaloupe stars, 'Imiloa Café’s executive chef Neal Donato Jr. has created a unique menu that’s more than the typical luncheon dining experience. It doesn't hurt that this spot has the most incredible view in East Hawaii. Our favorites include the Honoli’i grilled ono burger with lemon caper aïoli on a Kaiser roll; the Mauna Loa mauka with roasted eggplant, fresh spinach, Thai basil and mozzarella on ciabatta; and the Pulehu barbecue miso chicken sandwich featuring a grilled breast marinated in a sweet yet slightly spicy sauce made with shinshu miso served on a hearty portion of homemade focaccia. All of these platters come with ’uala potato salad, “moon & star” fries or “stealth” french fries. If you have children in tow, they’ll blast off to the moon when they see the extensive Keiki Planet Meals created especially for them. This is a destination eatery and it’s well worth the trip into Hilo to experience the café, planetarium and beyond.
