Incognico Restaurant Review:
Incognico was Nico Ladenis' first venture into more modest restaurateuring, helped by his daughter. Wood-panelled walls, old mirrors, dark colours and jazz in the background create the right relaxed mood. Under chef Francesco Zanchetta, the cooking is a mix of French and Italian with gutsy flavours in dishes like buffalo mozzarella with roast aubergines and pomodorini, and roast rack of lamb with spelt risotto. There is nothing revolutionary here, but this is enjoyable, reliable food. The wine list offers a wide range, though verges on the pricy. Service makes you feel cherished. 2-course lunch £17.50, 3 courses £20, 3 courses with half bottle of wine £25; dinner menus 3 courses £20, with glass of Prosecco £24.50.
