Since 1977, Seattleites in the mood for generous portions of basic Mexican fare have stopped at one of the Jalisco restaurants. Locally owned, most of the stores evoke the laid-back charm of a Mexican border-town café, with adobe-colored walls adorned with pretty tiles and a few flashy sombreros. The chicken mole is one of the more sophisticated dishes. The $3.50 house margaritas won't win any prizes but they are adequate to accompany the burritos, enchiladas and tostadas.
