Jim 'N Nick's draws crowds for its barbecue and much more. Among appetizers are the Kitchen Sink Bar-B-Q Nachos and the Bar-B-Q Quesadilla with melted jack cheese, roasted corn and peppers. Besides pork, the huge brick pits turn out hickory-smoked turkey and ham, tasty beef brisket and homemade sausages. Grits piled with pulled pork and spicy sauce is available only on Wednesdays; tacos turn up on other days, and may be stuffed with fish, chicken or beef brisket in addition to pork. Those not in the mood for barbecue have plenty of other options, from steak to chicken tenders. In addition to the usual sides, there are cinnamon apples, creamed spinach, braised collard greens chunky with meat, and macaroni and cheese. Don’t miss the buttery homemade cheese biscuits that resemble cheese-flecked mini-muffins. Pies are prepared every day in flavors like chocolate cream, lemon ice-box, coconut cream and pecan.
