THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Joe Tecce's Restaurant Review:

Despite renovations resulting in a lighter, airier feel, this red-sauce joint still looks much like all the restaurants in the North End used to---reaching embarrassing levels of old-world kitsch that ensure it never lacks for customers, be they wide-eyed tourists or die-hard old regulars. They certainly aren't here for the food. Joe Tecce's serves the much-derided, corners-cutting variation on honest Italian-American cooking that is as bland as lukewarm bottled sauce and mushy packaged pasta, from Parmigiano to pizzaiola and Marsala to marinara.
