THIS ESTABLISHMENT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Diners indulge their seafood fantasies at Johnny’s Half Shell. It’s a splashy, must-go restaurant, long on ambience and big on showy groups gathering for dinner, drinks and a round of ’40s jazz. Its appropriate motto? Seafood Specialties, Strong Drink. We recommend starting with oysters or clams on the half shell. For an entrée, try the sautéed soft-shells or a wood-grilled wild rockfish filet. The Chesapeake seafood stew is also good and very reasonably priced. Meat-eaters can select the wood-grilled Piedmontese beef rib-eye or a farm-raised chicken. Linger on at the bar after dinner to enjoy the lively scene.
