THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Julia Blackbird's Restaurant Review:

Julia presides over her tiny kitchen, making food inspired by her Mexican, Spanish and Native American roots. Her funky, festive, colorful little restaurant is a gathering place for the Highland neighborhood folks. For breakfast, try the blue corn griddle cakes with fresh peach preserves, or a huge breakfast burrito smothered with homemade red chile. Steamy latte comes in satisfyingly large bowls. For lunch and dinner, the hands-down favorite is a huge plate of three blue corn enchiladas---chicken with green chile, beef with red chile, and cheese with tongue-tingling chile caraïbe. For dessert, we like chocolate density cake topped with pine nuts or hot sopapillas drizzled with honey.
