THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kaleidoscope Eatery & Spirits Restaurant Review:
The foods served at this lively, family-friendly restaurant include a spinach and fennel spread blended with Parmesan and cream cheeses baked to a golden brown, and a refined take on the ubiquitous cheese curds --- lightly breaded white cheese curds that don’t have a doughy, heavy taste. There’s a traditional Friday night fish fry with perch (also sautéed) as well as sautéed shrimp accompanied by caramelized red onions and mushrooms finished in a creamy sambuca sauce. Favorites include pan-seared chicken breast topped with mascarpone, mozzarella, provolone and crispy prosciutto in a Marsala and mushroom demi-glace. For kids, there’s a peanut butter and marshmallow cream sandwich, grilled hot dogs and buttered penne. A full bar is available, and the wine and beer offerings include locally sourced selections as well as those from more far flung regions.
