Kona Canoe Club Restaurant Review:
There are always plenty of restaurants to choose from while taking a stroll through Kailua-Kona, but one of the best is the Kona Canoe Club, located oceanfront on the north end of the historical Kona Inn. Shorts and slippers are perfectly fine in this casual and relaxing atmosphere. To get in the mood, consider one of the specialty drinks, especially the fully loaded mai tai made with light and dark rums and tropical fruit juices, or a local favorite, the "Bikini-Tini," which includes premium citrus vodka and passion fruit juice. We then suggest the grilled ono (flaky and tender despite grilling) served with a standout tartar sauce. Hawaiian-style chicken and top sirloin entrées will also delight the taste buds. Save room for dessert, because the macadamia nut pie à la mode and a cup of piping hot, freshly ground Kona blend coffee shouldn’t be missed. A special child's menu is available for those 12 years and younger.
