THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Koraku Restaurant Review:
So unobtrusive its hard to spot even when youre looking for it (theres no sign in English on the front), and so small a party of six would swamp the place, this Japanese lunch counter probably hasnt changed its hand-written menu in the thirty-plus years its been here. Have the ramen, the udon or the beef sugar peas since they are all good, but well take the mackerel every time. Broiled to a crisp-skinned succulence, its delivered in minutes---like everything else, on a tray that also holds small bowls of rice, miso, tofu and cabbage salad. Its like having a meal in Kobe.
