Imported from Japan, this sushi-factory chain started small in Hawaii in 1980, and is slowly attaining its goal of being accessible to everyone on Oahu (and eventually each island). Sushi choices range from the traditional to the way-out-there (spam roll and fried chicken roll, anyone?). People pop in to grab lunch boxes, or big party platters for that extended-family gathering. Since it mainly draws an office-drone crowd for lunch, this location closes at 5 p.m. Mon.-Thurs., and at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
