La Provence Patisserie & Cafe, Beverly Hills, CA

La Provence Patisserie & Cafe Restaurant Review

: European-trained Farshid Hakim turns out refined French pastries, crumbly biscuits and scones at his charming La Provence Patisserie & Café, tucked into a small shopping center in Beverly Hills. In addition to tarts, éclairs and cupcakes, La Provence features a selection of Parisian macarons --- one of the largest you’ll find in L.A. His cakes, including a black and white chocolate and a hazelnut mousse, are pleasing to the eye, but more pleasing to the palate. A large menu includes eggs Benedict with salmon or ham, french toast and omelets for breakfast. For lunch or an early dinner, you’ll find soups, quiches, pâtés, salads and sandwiches, plus larger plates like organic roasted half-chicken and herb-crusted salmon with a dill-yogurt sauce.
