Lady Camellia Restaurant Review:
This charming, somewhat frilly tea room is the ideal, ladylike setting for afternoon tea, alone or with friends. Overstuffed formal chairs, linen tablecloths and napkins, and courteous staff underscore the luxury of the Georgetown gem, which is one of the few remaining places in DC where afternoon teas are served. Scan the menu and you’ll find several different options, including cream, light or savory tea, each of which lets the patron choose which goodies to enjoy, from tea sandwiches (smoked salmon and crème fraîche; egg salad) to scones and croissants. You can also invite at least six other people and make it a tea party. Lady Camellia offers children’s tea options, too, a grand way to teach youngsters about the nobility of a gracious afternoon tea.
